I found this article and photo of the effects of mustard gas on blinded British soldiers. Who would have thought that years later in the 1950's or early that a form of mustard gas would be used in the treatment of cancer.

Getting back to my Grandad,the GASSING he RECEIVED didn't affect his eyes.
It just BURNED-OUT his Lungs,causing endless health problems throughout the rest of his life,such as it was!
Also forgot to mention,he was also DEAFENED(permanently!),by the constant "SHELLING" form enemy Artillery.
Just another very sad footnote!
